Well, that's what happened to me when I saw this email on my phone:
I had just tweeted a line from one of my fave songs on "The Whole Truth" and shouted him out @TruthOnDuty. I really wasn't expecting anything, I just wanted to share something that I think is pretty great.I can't front, I was real hype about the follow-back. But more importantly, I am super excited to see how God is working through Da T.R.U.T.H. - my brother in Christ.
I love how his life is exemplifying 1 John 1:9 clearly:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confess our sins - God is omniscient. He knows all. It is still our responsibility to CONFESS our sins and acknowledge when we do wrong. If someone offends you, the least they can do is apologize. Our sins offend God - and that's putting it lightly - the least we can do is to apologize and ask his forgiveness.
Faithful and Just to forgive us - Jesus Christ died on the cross so that our sins - past, present and future - can be forgiven. God is faithful. He will not renege on that promise. God is just; He is fair. When we believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins, God forgives us based on the price that was paid. Jesus paid for all the sins of every human being with every single drop of His blood.
Cleanse us from all unrighteousness - Not only does God forgive us when we confess our sins, He also cleans all the filth left in us from the sin. He is able to create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. He can fully restore us to a purified state through Jesus Christ.
It is imperative that we, as brothers and sisters in the faith, PRAY for one another. When you notice that someone may have bigger temptations, PRAY for them. When you see that God has placed a person in a position where they influence masses, PRAY for them.
Gossip is fruitless. Prayer is fruitful.
