That's the current trending motto. It means You Only Live Once.
You only live once? Let's examine that.
The book of Revelation speaks about the second death multiple times. In Revelation 2:11, Jesus says that he who overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death. A second death? Hmm..this tells us that there is a second life. So do you only live once?
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
This scripture shows us that there is an opportunity live twice - to be born again. It also leads us to John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Everlasting life is the result of being born again. Being born again occurs after accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior.
You & I are living our first life. After our physical death, we will either LIVE or DIE. So here are the options:
Live Twice or Die twice.
If you choose the latter, then I guess YOLO is an appropriate motto for you. It's not for me. I'm gonna have to go with YODO...maybe...nah! LOL! I'm just going to rejoice in my salvation and in eternal life with Christ.
